I can hardly bare to look at these pics.
I moved to Charleston in July 2007. One year later, Landon moved to town. So did his first cousin E and E's best friend Tim. Landon lived across town; E & Tim lived with me. When Landon and I married, Tim bought a house and he and E moved about 2 miles away. That means for 5 years, all through engagement and marriage and babies, E was our closest family.
He was there in the delivery room just minutes after Cora was born, 5:30 AM and with a bag from McD's.
He was the peanut gallery as Landon and I threw out names; with each one, E masterminding a teasing campaign from 5th graders, getting us to kick-out name after name. He babysat for one year of Schottland Scholar evenings. He came for dinner on nights when Landon had class, entertaining the kids so I could get stuff done. He practiced walking with Cora, then Quinn.
Cora and Quinn were all smiles here; the opportunity for E with a coaching job at Wofford, is great.
Landon and I were trying not to cry.
We love big E.
