Cora's third bday: ECDC party

For Cora's birthday, I was allowed to come into her classroom and bring a special treat.

Here they were for circle time.

And, getting ready for a snack.

And, getting her birthday certificate.

Some of you have asked about her school, but haven't seen it. These pics do not do the program justice. It is a lab associated with the college. There is a "Master Teacher", Miss Stephanie, but there are also 2 graduate students in the classroom at all times (that's a 4 to 1 ratio at age 3). In addition, the kids are pulled out at various times for experimental learning exercises for the purposes of research (all positive; Skinner's white rabbit isn't here!). Cora is a sponge in this environment. The place is sunny and crisp and bright. The room is very zen. The playground also has a garden and a little neighborhood and a bridge and two play structures. And, Cora is just 1 block from my office.
