Several months ago, Mia (my mom) started a routine with Cora.
Mia: What does the cat say?
Cora: Meeeowww!
Mia: What does the dog say?
Cora: Arf Arf
Mia: What does Mia say?
Cora: I love you!
Mia: What does Cora say?
Cora: Mia's girl!
Over time we've added in a bunch of animals. We've also added in a couple more "people" quotes.
Mia: What does Mommy say?
Cora: Hi Babeeee!
Mia: WHat does Daddy say?
Cora: Go vols!
We went to Julie & RTs mountain house this weekend (pics to follow). On our way home, Landon was entertaining a quickly melting Cora. At one point, he decided that he was going to play a repeating game.
Landon said, "OK Cora, I want you to repeat what Daddy says".
Cora, not missing a beat, screamed, "Go Vols!".
She's got her daddy's number...

Belly Time
I hate belly time.
If you EVER make me do that again, I'll scream at you. Promise.
Most babies are rolling into this position voluntarily at my age? That's an absurd idea. Why would I EVER do that?
I am unloved, unappreciated, and generally abused.
If you EVER make me do that again, I'll scream at you. Promise.
Memories of a happier time...

Quinn: 4 Month Update
"Rise and Shine and Give God your Glory Glory!"
It's like she wakes up singing that sweet happy children's church song. Our minds are blown. Quinn wakes us up squealing with delight, and unless something really throws her off, she stays happy all day. We love it, and we love this little addition to our family. I can't believe it's already been 4 months. I can't believe it's only been 4 months.
Quinn is having no trouble grasping toys, and really plays tug-of-way with the ducks dangling from her gym.
Her favorite toy: her toes. She discovered them in the past couple of weeks, and she has no trouble getting them in her mouth. Yay for toes!
Yay for Toys, too!
With our good friend, Giggls the bear.
Quinn is really starting to try to sit. If I rest her on the boppy pillow, she immediately starts straining to sit-up.
She hasn't rolled yet, but she's thinking about it. Here, Cora heard me say that I thought she was about to roll. Cora jumped in and tried to help her.
Sometimes Cora just has to try out Quinn's toys, too.
When I sat her here she was on her back. She's really trying to roll.
Happy 4th Month, Quinn!
Our little TV watcher. Oh, Quinny. What will we do with you?
Our happy baby!

Hot Dog!
I can't remember what she was doing here, but I'd bet she was singing "hot dog" from Micky Mouse Clubhouse. It's her favorite. If she's in another room and hears it coming on, she drops what she's doing and sprints to the living room, front-and-center, to do the dance.
I love the following pics. Cora and Quinn snuggling happily, then when Quinn started to fuss, Cora tried to pull her in closer. That only made Quinn fuss more. My favorite is that in the final pic you can see Cora trying to sooth Quinn ("It's OK Bab-beee"). She really is a good big sister.
Quinn's best smiles are for Cora!
A Sunday Morning Photo Session???
Was I here for this?
I take back what I just said. In my last blog post, I teased that Grandma M obliges me by snapping a pic of the girls before church when she is here, but Landon does not. However, I'm pretty sure Landon was a part of this. I found these pics on our camera, and I don't think I was there for this. Plus, Landon takes better pics than me, so I think that these are his handy work.
Grandma M and Landon really took some time to take these shots. I'm impressed!
I just found these on the camera...
This picture is sideways, and it's late, but what I really love about it looks the same right-side-up or sideways... Cora is holding Quinn's hand. So spontaneous. So sweet.
We're working on getting Cora to make a "happy face" --- here's what she thinks "happy" looks like.
I do remember taking these. I snuck and took them when Grandma wasn't looking. Cora and Grandma were having a big conversation on the couch.
