Summertime Evenings
The neighborhood is starting to feel like summertime. Every night, there is someone up for an impromptu play date. Last night, last minute pizza in our driveway.

Miss Independent
This week Quinn started insisting on dressing herself, especially when it's time to put on pjs. It was pretty painful at first; shirt upside down and treated like a pair of pants. I've launched a counter attack by pulling out size 4 pjs for her, making it a little easier. She's gotten better every night.
Last night she let Cora help, but I can't even get near her. "No mommy! Mine!"

First beach day of 2014
Sunday, March 23
The first beach day of 2014.
After church Landon had some tasks to do, so I "offered" to load up the girls and head to the beach. No bags of things. Just flops, 1 towell, a water bottle, and a new big bubble blower.
Quinn strutted her stuff in flip-flops for the first time. Honestly she didn't make it even from the street walk-up to the wood walk way, but that's ok. I can't remember seeing Q do this thing before. Cora used to always stick her tongue out when she was thinking hard about a new skill; it isn't something Quinn does. I don't know if it's because Quinn is a little less intense than Cora? She really wanted to master these beach flops.
I had big intentions to get some cute barefoot pics in these dresses but my camera was apparently full. I would have deleted some pics but there was so much fun to be had... So I had fun.
Quinn was asleep before we got off the island; Cora lasted until Rifle Tamge. Proof of a successful beach trip.

Quinny-2
She's getting so big! Watch her walk into Miss Ainee's--- that look back says "I've got this. Shoo. Shoo! Stop following me."
Fun bank stocking the food bank
Students in my MGMT 345 class raised about 1000 boxes and several hundred dollars for a local food bank. There was actually more cereal than our partnered food bank was able to store...
So we took the overflow to St Vincent de Paul...

Getting artsy
Some days, paint with water turns into paint yourself. I think Cora thought she'd be in trouble for painting on her hand... I showed her!
A flower on her hand, swimming alligators on her arm, a butterfly on her face.
